Catherine Raspanti

Catherine Raspanti is a senior in the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences majoring in History and minoring in Political Science and Africana Studies. She was born and raised in the historical district of Philadelphia a few blocks from Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, and Betsy Ross’ house. Being around important historical sites on a daily basis inspired her love of history. She is currently the president of the University of Pittsburgh’s chapter of the Phi Eta Sigma honor society and the Phi Alpha Theta history honor society. After graduating from Pitt, she intends to pursue a master’s degree in secondary education with a concentration in social studies.
