José Andrés Fernández Montes de Oca

José Andrés Fernández Montes de Oca is a PhD candidate in the Department of History at the University of Pittsburgh. José holds a BA in History from Universidad de Costa Rica. He has studied race, transnational social and labor movements, and Black Internationalism in Port Limon, Costa Rica, and Trinidad and Tobago during the early twentieth century. His doctoral dissertation is on colonial and post-colonial development in Jamaica.
