Owen Knight

Owen worked as a research affiliate for the World History Center during the spring and summer of 2020 while an undergraduate at the University of Pittsburgh. During his time at the Center he served first as an office assistant and then as a researcher who created geospatial features for the World Historical Gazetteer. Prior to his employment with the WHC, he participated in the Center’s Digital Atlas Design Internship Project. His project examined the historical space of the current Allegheny Center Mall on Pittsburgh’s North Side. In April of 2020, he completed his undergraduate majors in History and Urban Studies and minors in Statistics and Spanish. Currently, he lives in Philadelphia where he remains an avid scholar of urban American history and looks for opportunities to apply his geospatial and historical skills.
