New Digital Atlas Design Internship

 

RECEIVE COURSE CREDIT:
•To turn a historical map, diary or book into a digital atlas.

LEARN:
•To use QGIS, Leaflet and other tools to create and publish attractive online maps linked with text, images, and other supporting materials.

CREATE:
•A polished digital project to share with friends, family, advisors and prospective employers.

YOU NEED:
•A faculty member who can offer light intellectual guidance about project content.
•An general idea for a project (we can help brainstorm).
•An interest in history, maps, and digital methods.

YOU DO NOT NEED:
•Any background in specific digital tools or methods.
•A significant time commitment from a faculty mentor whom you have identified.


This initiative is hosted by the Pitt World History Center. Digital History Postdoctoral Fellow Ryan Horne will train and supervise interns.
