Congratulation to WHC Post Nathan Michalewicz on New Faculty Position at Queens University!

The World History Center would like to congratulate Digital History Postdoctoral Associate Nathan Michalewicz on his new role as an Assistant Professor of digital and European history at Queens University of Charlotte, which will begin in August 2023. Dr. Michalewicz joined at the World History Center in summer 2022 after working as an instructure at George Mason University since graduating with a Ph.D. in 2020. His historical research explores the early modern political community through the lens of the Franco-Ottoman alliance in the sixteenth century.

Over the past year at the World History Center, Dr. Michalewicz has taught the Digital Atlas Design Internship each semester, mentoring students through the completion of their digital spatial narratives projects. He has also been a key member of the World Historical Gazetteer team.

The World History Center will miss Dr. Michalewicz, but wishes him well on his future endeavors at Queens!
