Join University of Pittsburgh professor Alaina E. Roberts in a discussion about the first chapter of Dr. Tiffany Lethabo King’s book, The Black Shoals: Offshore Formations of Black and Native Studies, focusing on its theme of the intersections of settler colonialism, anti-Blackness, activism, and culture. 

Alaina E. Roberts is an Assistant Professor of History at the University of Pittsburgh. Her research focuses on the intersection of African American and Native American history from the nineteenth century to the modern day with particular attention to identity, settler colonialism, and anti-Blackness.
